01The mechanics

How does AEO work?

An AI tool takes four steps before your name does or doesn't appear. Everything we do aims at one of them.

1
Understand
The AI works out what the buyer means.
2
Retrieve
It pulls passages from pages it can reach and trusts.
3
Write
It combines them into one answer.
4
Name and cite
It names the companies it used. Be one of them.

So pages must be easy to reach, easy to lift, easy to trust and current. The GEO levers cover each one.

02Getting started

How long does setup take?

About 40 minutes, once. Every connection is read-only, and switching one off ends our access straight away.

Step 1

Connect your domain

A subdomain needs one DNS record. A subfolder needs one routing rule. We send the settings.

Step 2

Share your brand material

Case studies, past posts, decks and positioning, so pages sound like you.

Step 3

Connect your tools

Five read-only connections, each with a step-by-step guide.

07Questions

Questions about how Salient works

How does Salient work?

Salient runs answer engine optimization for you in a weekly loop. We find the buyer questions where AI names your competitors, you approve the ones worth winning on a short weekly call, and our team writes, checks, publishes and tracks the pages on your own domain.

How does AEO work?

When a buyer asks an AI tool a question, the tool works out what they mean, pulls passages from pages it trusts, writes one answer from them and names the companies and sources it used. AEO makes your pages easy to find, read and quote at each of those steps.

How much of my team's time does Salient take?

About 40 minutes to set up, once. After that, one short call a week to approve topics. Your pod does the research, writing, editing, publishing, tracking and refreshes.

Do you need access to our CMS?

No. Pages are published to a section of your domain that we host and run, so we never touch your CMS and your developers don't have to publish anything.

Do we need a developer?

Only once, if at all. A subdomain needs one DNS record. A subfolder needs one routing rule added on your side. We send the exact settings either way.

What access do you need?

Read-only access to Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, Bing Webmaster Tools, Ahrefs and HubSpot. We never change your settings or records, and switching a connection off removes our access straight away.

Will anything go live without our approval?

No. Nothing is written or published until you've ticked it on the weekly topic list. Skipped topics are never written.

How do we talk to the team?

In a shared Slack or WhatsApp channel with your pod, plus a standing weekly call and a weekly report in plain English. Median first response is under an hour inside your working day.

See the loop running on your category.

In 30 minutes we show you where AI names your competitors, and the first topics we'd put in your queue.

No credit card, no sales script. Thirty minutes with the pod that would run it.
